If you've ever been a member of a referral service, you've probably been charged for every lead including a bunch of "wild goose chase or dead end" leads that end up costing you time and money chase down. The referral company often makes more money than you do. They charge fees before you are paid, even if you cannot contact the customer. If the payment is not sent, your account will simply be closed. Or maybe you've spent thousands of dollars on advertising in phone books, direct mail or internet campaigns and never seen a return on your investment .Honest contractors wants to offer contractors a chance to expose their businesses to an array of people without emptying their pocket books and wasting their valuable time. With my service, you only pay for the leads that generate work. There are no membership fees, just a one-time set up fee of $250 per contractor for the first category - includes two pictures and two to three paragraphs (300 words). Additional listings are $50 per category (maximum of three categories). You are then listed in your category on HonestContractors.net. You might share this category with other contractors, but not more than three. Having more than one contractor per category gives the consumer the ability to receive multiple quotes and have the work done on their schedule. After three quotes a customer should have a good idea what quality work should cost and the ability to make an informed decision. Leads are sent directly to your cell phone, so that there is no lag time or stale leads. After you are hired for a job, it's up to you to send Honest Contractors 10% of your sale for that job minus sales tax. To show that I trust the contractors on this list, this payment is on the honor system. To keep the system honest, we will send out customer surveys by mail and/or phone. The surveys will track customer experience, satisfaction, the quality of work provided and the total paid. If there is a problem with quality or service, you will be required to accompany me to the site to see the work and discuss a resolution with the customer.
