Have you had problems finding honest, reliable contractors?
Well, You're not alone! Hello, I am Bob Smith, In 2009 I started a home remodel, and I just realized how hard it can be to find honest, professional contractors outside of the network I personally know. Maybe you have heard similar story's or have experienced this yourself. During the summer of 2009 I hired a paint contractor to paint the entire exterior of my home. He came as a trusted referral from a friend and asked for $1000. He worked one day and never came back. Then we needed the heater fixed in the dead of winter so we hired another contractor. Even though we paid him to fix it, we continued to live in a cold house so we had to hire another contractor to replace the heater. After those episodes, I needed my bathtub refinished. I asked all my contractor friends for a referral and could not find one. So I went with one from the yellow pages that fed me a fine line of B.S. and she was not the cheapest. After it was done, I was horrified by the poor quality of workmanship, customer service, and lies. She told me it is now shiny and people don't care about how bathtubs look anyway. She said I had to pay the bill or get a lien on my property. I was frustrated and angry! They missed areas, had huge runs and dust in the finish. I hired yet another contractor to come in and redo/ refinish the job of the first bath company. Now you can find the first bath company reported to the BBB. This all happened in a short 5 months on one project. I have heard many stories like this from other people. It is hard for them to find honest contractors too. There are no guarantees in life and sometimes you can still get the short end of the stick. You can get a referral from a friend, chose a large company who seems to have a great reputation or do hours of research on your own and still receive poor service. What I am offering is a referral service with a track record of local, honest and reliable contractors or businesses known in my small community/network that have a great reputation. The members on this list have been screened by me and some I have even done work for me. I would like to extend a helping hand. Honest Contractor's is offering you a chance to find honest, reputable contractors or businesses at the touch of a button. This program only covers South King and Pierce Counties of Washington State. Unlike other services that cover the entire USA, you will be dealing with someone local that will be able to meet you in person, care about your needs, and resolve any issues that may arise. We offer more than one contractor per category when possible. This allows you to have a contractor available at your convenience and you will be able to have more than one quote if desired. Please fill out the “request for quote” form below the contractor you desire. When completed an E-mail will be sent to us and the contractor. When our contractors contact you they will then offer you any and all business licenses or certificates and proof of insurance that are needed to stay within the law.
